Training

Training

The UNSW Athletics Club also provides training catering for beginnners to experienced athletes. We currently offer middle distance/long distance coaching. This is held at McKay Oval Centennial Park and ES Marks. There is a small gate entry fee to train at the track.

We are looking to add jumps, hurdles and throws coaching if there is sufficient demand. There are also an abundance of coaches in the area for specific disciplines. Coaches can be searched on Athletics NSW database.

To partake in our training sessions, students are required to become a UNSW 'Training Member' at a cost of $50/year. If students wish to compete as well as train, they will need to additionally become a competition member via ANSW (community, concession, or open member). All of which you can register for in the 'Become A Member' tab of this website. Training times are listed below, however please note that these may be subject to change so make sure to follow us on instagram and facebook.

Please get in contact with us via facebook or instagram and we will put you in contact with one of our wonderful coaches!

Distance Training

  • Mondays and Fridays 5.15pm @ McKay Oval Centennial Park
  • Wednesdays 5.15pm @ ES Marks Athletics Track

Our distance coach Jis ordan Williams.

If you are interested in training, please contact UNSW athletics on either Facebook or email.

Jumps and Throws Training

Unfortunately, there is not enough demand for any horizontal or vertical jumps or throws training at the moment. If this was something you were interested in please send us a message via email or our Facebook page and we will try to work out a way to best accommodate your needs. We do have a few throwing atheletes that throw around UNSW, so reach out and we may be able to put you in contact.
